Key takeaways
- XUV3XO AX5L now $22,490 driveaway, Australia's equal cheapest SUV
- Rebates of $1,000 to $1,500 cover every variant in the range
- Offer applies to 2025 build stock only, ending October 31
Mahindra Australia has cut driveaway pricing across the XUV3XO range, with instant rebates of up to $1,500 announced on 14 September 2026. The entry level AX5L now starts from $22,490 driveaway, down from $23,990.
That price matches the discounted Chery Tiggo 4 Urban, currently the only small SUV in the country selling for the same money, and sits below the MG ZS Vibe at $22,990. Chery's bonus is scheduled to run out on 30 September, a month before Mahindra's, which would leave the XUV3XO on its own at the bottom of the SUV market if neither brand moves.
The rebates apply to 2025 build stock only and end on 31 October 2026, so availability will thin out well before the deadline at some dealers.

Every XUV3XO uses a 1.2 litre turbo petrol three cylinder producing 82kW and 200Nm, with claimed combined fuel use of 6.5L/100km. Mahindra covers the car with a seven year, 150,000km warranty, which is longer than most rivals at this price.
What you get for $22,490
- Safety: Level 2 driver assistance with autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, and traffic sign recognition
- Technology: 10.25 inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster, Harman Kardon audio, wireless phone charging, and Zip, Zap and Zoom drive modes
- AX7L and Anniversary Edition add: Skyroof, front parking assist, auto dimming mirror, LED fog lights, cooled and illuminated glovebox, and 65W USB-C fast charging
- Anniversary Edition styling: blacked out badges, gloss black wheels, black scuff plates, parcel tray and metallic paint
The XUV3XO launched here in July 2025 and the discount follows deeper cuts on the larger seven seat Mahindra XUV700.
Buyers chasing the $22,490 price need to confirm a dealer still has eligible 2025 build stock, because the rebate does not apply to 2026 cars. Watch what Chery does on 30 September, since an extension there keeps the cheapest SUV title shared.
